Why

In work (and life), we are required to do three things: do, think, learn. It used to be we had plenty of time for all three.

Do • Think • Learn

Thinking gives you space between doing and learning. That space to Think is where original ideas happen.

But over time, we've been asked to Do more and Learn more. Our space to Think shrunk.

As the pace of the world continues to speed up and efficiency is of maximum importance, that’s causing us to have to spend the majority of our time on Do. We have time to Learn all the new things happening to and around us. But that leaves little time to Think. Thinking is getting squeezed out.

That means we have to be ruthlessly efficient with our thinking.

Just as we use tools to do and learn more in less time, we need tools to think more in collapsed opportunities. We need to slow down time through tools so we can think without being rushed.

We need to Think Slower so we can move faster. We must Seize the Pause.
